Help Without Frontiers

HWF supports Migrant Learning Centres to monitor their students' enrolment throughout each academic year. While challenges faced by migrant and displaced children and families can impact continued access to education, this consistent monitoring helps MLC teachers and HWF to respond to at-risk cases, and informs the design of relevant projects to support education access in the future.

This briefer provides data on student enrolments at ten MLCs in the 2025-26 academic year, the proportion of students who left their MLC during and at the end of the year, and the places that those students went after leaving. It also provides recommendations for key areas of support going forward.
